Born and raised outside Philadelphia, Rob Melso is a singer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist now based in Colorado. His music spans funk, rock, and indie folk, with hip-hop influences shaping his approach to rhythm and groove. He writes, performs, and records his own material, from stripped-back acoustic songs to fuller, layered productions.

Rob’s music has appeared in independent films, most recently on the soundtrack for Delicious, a Philadelphia-based horror short. His song “Kiss You Now,” recorded at Tribe Sound Studios, was also featured in Alpaca Pictures’ film 99% Sure.

After moving to Brooklyn in 2009, Rob developed his One Man Funk Band, combining multiple instruments, looping pedals, and effects to create a full band sound live. He performed throughout Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan’s Lower East Side, collaborating with hip-hop artists along the way. In 2015, he moved to Nashville, where he continued writing and performing, including shows at Cafe Coco and Exit/In.

Today, Rob focuses on songwriting, recording, and composing, bringing his experience as a live performer into original music and projects for film.
